
Hindu devotees perform rituals while taking a holy dip at Gangasagar on Sagar Island, the confluence of River Ganges and Bay of Bengal, about 140 kilometer, 87 miles south of Calcutta, Monday, Jan. 14, 2008. More than 200,000 people are expected to take a holy dip at the confluence Monday, coinciding with the Hindu festival of Makar Sankranti.
