
This file picture taken 17 September 2007 shows a crater apparently made by a meteorite in the department of Puno, Peru, more than 1000 kms southeast of Lima. According to the Russian newspaper "Pravda" 25 September, 2007 the crater would have been made not by a meteorite but by a piece of the US' spy satellite KH-13 intended for spying Iran. The satellite was alllegedly destroyed by a US militar space centre in California. Peruvian scientific authorities denied the Russian version
