A mammoth iceberg dwarfs Alaska State Trooper and public information officer Beth Ipsen during a photo documentation of the LeConte Glacier in southeast Alaska, Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, near Petersburg, Alaska. The LeConte Glacier is the southernmost active tidewater glacier in the Northern hemisphere. Due to the 810-foot deep water in the bay, pieces of the glacier break off instead of advancing, resulting in spectacular 'shooters' and icebergs.
