In a photo provided by Chicago's Shedd Aquarium, Mauyak, a 24-year-old beluga whale, swims with her newborn calf shortly after giving birth at 2:42 a.m. Thursday morning, Aug. 16, 2007. The calf is more than five feet long and weighs about 100 pounds. Shedd officials haven't yet determined its gender.
