FILE - This June 17, 1989 file photo shows Jazz legend Herb Ellis, playing at the Gibson guitar exhibit during the National Association of Music Merchants in Chicago, Ill. Ellis, the critically acclaimed jazz guitarist who played with such luminaries as Ella Fitzgerald and was once a member of the celebrated Oscar Peterson Trio, died Sunday March 28, 2010 of complications associated with Alzheimer's disease at his Los Angeles home. He was 88.
