Youths covered in oil and ash who calling themselves "Pintados", translated as "Painted Ones", pose as they parade through the village of San Nicolas de los Ranchos on the foothills of the Popocatepetl volcano during a festival March 17, 2009. The "Pintados" cover themselves in oil and ash, and wear masks to ward of evil spirits in this Lent time festival which dates back to the 17th century
