The Queen's birthday in Thailand is recognized as National Mother's Day.

Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 as the temple honored Thailand's 76-year-old Queen Sirikit, two days ahead of her birthday. It is a Thai tradition to wear white flowers in honor of the Queen.
