Civil police officers and government environmental inspectors examine illegally cut lumber in Tailandia, in Brazil's Para state, Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008. Environmentalists praised a government crackdown in the Amazon that resulted in a huge seizure of illegally cut lumber but warned that the destruction of the rain forest would continue until the government deploys a larger permanent task force in the region.
