Pro-Government Kurdish village guards patrol 23 December 2007 on a road near Cukurca province of Hakkari, in southeastern Turkey, bordering Iraq. Turkey's military said it attacked Kurdish separatists in northern Iraq 22 December for the third time in less than a week, bombing and shelling positions and warning more will follow.
