lost capital of the Liangzhu kingdom, China's oldest dynasty




Chinese archaeologists show off an excavated site of a 4,300-year-old city which covers about three square kilometres (1.2 square miles), larger than Beijing's Forbidden Palace, believed to be the lost capital of the Liangzhu kingdom, China's oldest dynasty, near Hangzhou in eastern China's Zhejiang province 29 November 2007. The ancient city is believed to be part of the Liangzhu culture dated back to neolithic times between 4,000 and 5,300 years ago,.
