the exploitation of natural gas and coal exploitation in the south east

This undated photo shows the Flathead Valley in Montana. The valley has become a point of contention between Montana and the Canadian province of British Columbia which share 150-km common border. Montana authorities are trying to get their Canadian counterparts not to authorize the exploitation of natural gas and coal exploitation in the south east of the province, claiming the companies which will exploit these raw materials will produce waste water which will filter into the ecosystem of the valley and Glacier National Par which straddles the US-Canada border and is registered as a world heritage site by UNESCO
